Southern Harebell (Campanula divaricata) A member of the Bluebell family, this wildflower graces roadsides and selected sites in woods and fields from August through October. Flowers are about ¼ in. long, tiny but plentiful; leaves in shade are pale green, but a lovely purple/bronze in the sun. In full flower the plant is a whisper of blue mist. Photographed on our farm on a roadside using macro technique and artificial lighting. Detail is difficult to see in natural size-very small, delicate flower. |
