Aunt Dot's Baked Beans
1 lb. ground chuck
1 med. onion, chopped
˝ bell pepper, chopped
Sauté onion and pepper in a little margarine. Remove and brown meat in same pan. Drain all fat drippings. Add back onion & pepper.
In large casserole dish mix:
3 cans pork & beans, 16 oz size (remove pieces of fat)
2 Tbl mustard (just plain table mustard)
1 cup ketchup
1 Tbl brown sugar (more if you like it sweet)
dash Worchestershire sauce
dash Texas Pete
Add meat, onion mixture and stir.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
This is a favorite for family gatherings.
