Aunt Dot's Pecan Pie
1 cup sugar
½ cup dark Karo syrup
¼ cup butter, melted, (½ stick)
3 eggs, well beaten
1 cup pecans, broken into medium pieces.
Mix sugar, syrup and butter.
Add eggs and pecans.
Pour in unbaked pie shell
(I use Pillsbury’s Pie Crusts, found in the dairy section)
Bake 10 min. at 400 degrees.
Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 30 - 35 minutes.
Don’t bother to make this unless you have first quality pecans, preferably ones you have shelled yourself.
