Nana's Pumpkin Pie

 

Mix in this order: Makes 1 pie.

2 eggs, beaten
1 can pumpkin, 15 oz.
½ cup, plus 2 Tbl sugar
½ tsp. salt
¾ tsp. cinnamon, plus more to taste
¾ tsp. nutmeg, plus more to taste
¼ tsp. cloves
¼ tsp. ginger
½ tsp. vanilla
½ cup evaporated milk or Half & Half

Taste and adjust sugar and spices. Pour into unbaked pie shell. I use Pillsbury’s pie crusts, found in the dairy section. I roll it out a little.

Bake at about 375 deg. for about 1 hour. The pie should be gently puffed up in the center when done.
